About DuraLife Decking
DuraLife decking is made from a unique blend of composite materials. Their PolyPro decking is manufactured in the United States from a combination of polypropylene and hardwood for advanced strength, stability, and durability.
In studies, according to the company, DuraLife decking has been shown to be stronger than regular PVC deck and PE decking. All styles are stain, fade, mold, and mildew resistant. The boards also won’t absorb moisture and minimize expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes.
DuraLife Decking Styles
DuraLife produces two collections of decking, Hardwood and Landscapes. Both styles are manufactured to resist rotting, splitting, and warping while requiring very little deck maintenance. Both are also finished with DuraLife’s Color-lock multilayer system to keep the deck’s rich colors looking new.
Hardwoods Collection
The Hardwoods Collection features four colors and is designed to look like beautifully finished hardwood. The colors, Golden Teak, Brazilian Cherry, Garapa Gray, and Tropical Walnut are created using a random dispersal process to ensure that no two boards are alike. The variegated colors and deep embossed texture complement coastal, traditional, and contemporary styles.

Landscapes Collection
The Landscapes Collection is available in four earth-toned colors, Mahogany, Slate, Pebble, and Coastal Gray that look great in any outdoor space. The boards are not variegated for a simpler, cleaner appearance.

Decking Board Sizes
All boards in the Hardwoods and Landscapes collections are available in 12’, 16’, and 20’ lengths. Boards are 5.5” wide and 1” thick.
DuraLife also offers its Custom Length program for larger decks (over 750 linear feet of decking) that require non-standard sized boards. Boards can be sized anywhere between 6’ and 24’. There is no extra cost but custom orders require at least two weeks lead time.
Decking Board Profiles
DuraLife offers two different profiles on all decking boards, the Siesta and the MVP. The Siesta profile is a solid-core board and provides premium strength and durability.
The MVP profile has a scalloped underside, making the board lighter and slightly more cost-effective. Both of these profiles are grooved on either side to accommodate hidden fasteners.
The company also offers boards grooved only on one side for perimeter and stair tread boards, known as their Starter profile, while the Square Edge profile boards have no grooves.
Environmental Impact
DuraLife decking is made up of 80 and 90 percent (by weight) post-consumer and post-industrial material. The decking is manufactured without any preservatives or toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde. All decking and railing products are manufactured in Maine, and up to 100% of all raw materials are sourced within 500 miles of their facility to limit the environmental impact of shipping.
DuraLife Railing Styles
DuraLife offers three unique railing styles for use with their decking.
The Merrimack railing is a traditional, white PVC railing, available with either black round or white square balusters. This style is highly customizable with several options available for posts, post caps, and lighting.
Nantucket railing is made of powder-coated aluminum and comes in either matte black, matte bronze, or white. Nantucket features three top-rail options, along with several post and post cap designs.
Finally, the Concord railing is a more traditional, streamlined railing option. It is made from powder-coated steel and is available in matte black or hammered bronze.
Most railings are available in 6’, 8’, and 10’ sections (10’ not available in Nantucket) and heights of 36” and 42”. Each style also includes the option to use a coordinating deck board as the top rail, creating a ledge for drinks or plates and a coordinating gate.
Deck Accessories
DuraLife also carries a variety of accessories to complete your decking project, including LED lighting kits, lattice panels, ADA-compliant handrails, and unique decorative screen panels.
The 2’ by 4’ panels come in five styles and can be used around the perimeter of your deck for style and semi-privacy. The can also be used to conceal the area under your deck or made into freestanding privacy screens.
Maintenance and Warranty
DuraLife composite decking is manufactured to be very easy to clean and maintain. Dry sweeping is recommended to keep dirt and debris off the deck surface. Warm water and non-bleach dish soap can be used for any spills. Rubbing alcohol can also be used for spot cleaning.
DuraLife does not recommend using a pressure washer on decking or railings. Only plastic rakes or snow shovels should be used to clear the decking.
